NAACP Image Awards: Michael B. Jordan Wins Guest Appearance Trophy for Hosting ‘SNL’

The third night of the 55th NAACP Image Awards non-televised awards categories brought a win for Michael B. Jordan.

The actor picked up the outstanding guest appearance trophy for hosting Saturday Night Live on Jan. 28, 2023.

Other big winners on night 3 of the Image Awards included The Color Purple, which took the award for outstanding ensemble cast in a motion picture.

High on the Hog: How African American Cuisine Transformed America was named outstanding documentary (television), and Invisible Beauty won the award for outstanding documentary (film).

The virtual awards streamed on www.naacpimageawards.net. Khleo Thomas hosted the ceremony, and presenters included Brian Jordan (Tyler Perry’s Sistas), Marcel Spears (The Neighborhood), and Nyambi Nyambi (Mike and Molly).

The awards celebrate outstanding achievements and performances by people of color across more than 90 competitive categories.

The 55th NAACP Image Awards, hosted by Queen Latifah, will air live on Saturday, March 16 at 8:00 PM ET/PT on BET and the CBS Television Network.
