Mike Tyson wants you to know: he doesn’t have Parkinson’s disease.

The former heavyweight champion’s one-time opponent Jake Paul claimed last week on the Adin Ross podcast that Tyson suffered from the disease, which causes tremors and shaking. It’s a common affliction for fighters, with the most notable case being sports icon Muhammad Ali.

“Ayahuasca is really good for your brain as well, same with toad,” Paul said on the podcast. “Toad is what cured Mike Tyson’s Parkinson’s, no, sorry, toad cured Tyson’s Parkinson’s so he could come back and fight.”

Toads — yes the amphibians — have healing powers that come from a psychedelic chemical in their glands, according to addictioncenter.com.

Paul and Tyson traded jabs in the ring last November to a record streaming audience on Netflix. The 58-year-old Tyson lost a decision to the 28-year-old Paul, in a match viewed by more than 100 million viewers around the world.

Team Tyson responded on Sunday to the YouTuber’s claim, issuing a statement to TMZ.

“Mike is happy and perfectly healthy. He doesn’t have Parkinson’s or any other illness,” Tyson’s team said in a statement.

Paul has since retreated from his claim, saying in a post on X (formerly Twitter) that his comments were misinterpreted by internet commenters.

“Bruh…Mike Tyson didn’t have no Parkinsons…WTF. Why the f–k is the internet so stupid for [sic]. I misspoke. Meant he used toad to heal his pain. He has spoken about it many times. Just like I do. Just like many do,” Paul posted on Feb. 16.

Tyson did have a major medical incident while traveling on an airplane last year. He had an ulcer flare-up and claimed to have lost a lot of blood. That caused his fight with Paul to be postponed from summer until November.

But otherwise, Tyson’s camp says Paul’s comments are much ado about nothing.
