Mike Tyson is having second thoughts about fighting Jake Paul.

The former heavyweight champion recently sat down for an interview with Fox Sports Radio and discussed his controversial boxing match with YouTuber-turned-fighter Paul.

In the interview, hosts Steve Covino and Rich Davis asked Tyson, 58, why he agreed to the boxing match, which 27-year-old Paul won by unanimous decision.

“The day after the fight, I woke up and I told my wife, ‘Why did I do that?’ I don’t know what the hell goes on,” Tyson said in the interview.

Despite claims on social media that the Nov. 15 match was rigged, Tyson said otherwise and noted that Paul landed several painful blows.

“It was a real fight,” Tyson explained. “My body was really sore [afterwards].”

Asked if he stepped into the ring for a big payday, Tyson insisted that wasn’t the reason he agreed to the fight.

“That payday is not going to change my lifestyle at all,” he stated. “I’m very fortunate, thank God.”

Paul has also addressed questions about the authenticity of the fight and claimed he held back. Paul made the comment at the post-fight news conference, after being asked if he took his “foot off the gas.”

“Definitely a bit. I wanted to give the fans a show, but I didn’t want to hurt someone that didn’t need to be hurt,” he said.

Netflix previously said more than 72,000 fans attended the boxing match in person at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The streamer also said “a record 108 million viewers worldwide tuned in live to watch the epic showdown,” making it the most streamed sporting event in history.

But critics said Netflix’s servers were not up to the task and at times were down for the count. The streaming giant faced backlash on social media for technical glitches during the livestream and buffering issues.

Since fight night, Tyson has landed a deal with the streaming giant for a docuseries. The authorized series will take an “unflinching look” at his life — from his legal troubles and personal struggles (substance abuse, finances, in-ring controversies), to his meteoric rise to the “Baddest Man on the Planet,” per Netflix.

A release date for the three-part docuseries will be announced later. Tyson’s interview with Fox Sports Radio can be found here. He talks about having second thoughts about fighting Jake Paul at the 6:15 mark.
