Michael Michele has been promoted to series regular for season 3 of The CW’s Dynasty reboot.
The actress plays Dominique Deveraux, a role made famous in the original 1980s primetime soap opera by Diahann Carroll, who died on Oct. 4.
Deveraux is the glamorous half sister of Blake Carrington on the series. Michele debuted in the role on the second season of the drama.

Michele most recently appeared on OWN’s Queen Sugar and the Fox drama Star. Her previous credits include Gossip Girl, ER, Homicide: Life on the Street, New York Undercover and the films How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days and New Jack City.
She is also executive producer of the docuseries Mavericks, that tells the stories of modern women who live their lives with bravery as they overcome physical and emotional hurdles thrown in their paths.
The cast on the Dynasty reboot includes Grant Show, Elizabeth Gillies, Robert Christopher Riley, Sam Adegoke, Rafael de la Fuente, Alan Dale, and Maddison Brown.
The series airs Fridays at 9/8C on The CW.
