K. Michelle sheds tears in the trailer for My Killer Body With K. Michelle, and lets viewers know why she’s so passionate about bringing her new reality series to television.
Lifetime unveiled the trailer Tuesday that shows “The Rain” singer helping men and women take back their lives after suffering complications from plastic surgery.
“The purpose of My Killer Body is to save someone’s life,” the breakout star of VH1’s Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta says before detailing how she almost died as a result of a plastic surgery procedure gone wrong.
“Changing my body almost killed me. Now I have to fight for my life and others too,” the singer and television personality shares.

In additional scenes from the trailer, K. Michelle sits down with people who have been devastated by arsenic poisoning, are going through transgender transformation surgery, and more.
The R&B performer became an advocate for the subject after she almost died when she received black market hydrogel injections in 2012. She opened up in 2017 about how much damage the injections had caused on her body, including getting migraines, fatigue and pain in her legs.
K. Michelle’s new series is produced by Jesse Collins Entertainment and Kingdom Reign Entertainment and executive produced by Kimberly Pate.
