Kim Cattrall is coming back to the Sex and the City franchise, at least for a brief cameo.

The official And Just Like That… Twitter account confirmed the actress will reprise her role as Samantha Jones on the second season of the Max series.

“Secret’s out!!” the account captioned a retweet on Wednesday of a New York Post article on Cattrall’s return.

The Post, which was among the first outlets to report on Cattrall’s return, said she filmed a “hush-hush” cameo in New York City in March, and most of the show’s crew didn’t even known about.

“Her name never even appeared on a call sheet — leaving many people stunned behind the scenes,” the article said. The actress arrived in an SUV with blacked-out windows to keep her appearance secret.

Samantha appeared via text message exchanges with Sarah Jessica Parker’s character Carrie in the first season, but Cattrall was not shown on screen.

Sex and the City starred Parker, Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis. The series became one of HBO’s marquee shows when it launched in 1998, and ran for six seasons. The show was followed by two feature films in 2008 and 2010, and a prequel from The CW titled The Carrie Diaries, which lasted two seasons.

Cattrall has previously said she had no interest in returning to the franchise.

In 2017, she said she’d “never been friends” with her former SATC co-stars amid a reported feud with Parker.

“This is really where I take to task the people from Sex and the City, and specifically Sarah Jessica Parker,” Cattrall said in an interview with Piers Morgan, via the Daily Mail. “I think she could’ve been nicer. I really think she could’ve been nicer. I don’t know what her issue is.”

The reboot features SJP’s Carrie, along with Miranda (Nixon), and Charlotte (Davis) as they navigate life and friendship in their 50s.

The cast also includes Sara Ramírez, Sarita Choudhury, Nicole Ari Parker, Karen Pittman, Mario Cantone, David Eigenberg, Evan Handler, Christopher Jackson, Niall Cunningham, Cathy Ang and Alexa Swinton.

In addition to Kim Cattrall, the show is bringing back John Corbett as Aidan Shaw and Candice Bergen’s character Enid Frick for season 2.

The series is developed and executive produced by Michael Patrick King, alongside executive producers John Melfi, Julie Rottenberg, Elisa Zuritsky, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon. Sex and the City was created by Darren Star and based on the book “Sex and the City” by Candace Bushnell.

The eleven-episode second season of And Just Like That… premieres June 22 on Max.
