Three months after Kelly Price revealed COVID-19 nearly took her life, she is scheduled to return to the stage for the 2022 Urban One Honors.
Price joins a list of popular artists set to perform on the show, including Tasha Cobbs-Leonard, Tank, Vashawn Mitchell and Kim Burse, TV One said in a press release Saturday.

Jermaine Dupri, Marlon Wayans, and Tony McCuin will appear as presenters. TV and radio personality Eva Marcille will serve as backstage host and interview the honorees, performers and presenters.
Themed “the Soundtrack of Black America,” the 2022 Urban One Honors will recognize contributions in entertainment, media, music, education, and the community. The categories include Lifetime Achievement, Music Innovation, Entertainment Icon, Living Legend and Inspirational Impact.
“Every year Urban One Honors continues to raise the bar as a showcase to uplift and inspire our audience,” Cathy Hughes, founder of Urban One, said in a statement. “We are excited to acknowledge the undeniable impact this crop of superstar talent has made across the globe by breaking barriers and continuously moving culture forward.”
The program is produced for TV One by Eric Tomosunas, Robert Boyd and Keith Neal of Swirl Films. Marilyn Gill is the executive producer. Kashon Powell is the vice president of programming for Radio One and Susan Henry is the executive producer in charge of production for TV One.
The Urban One Honors will be taped in Atlanta on Dec. 3, 2021. The two-hour telecast premieres Monday, Jan. 17, 2022, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, on TV One and Cleo TV, a division of Urban One.
