Tia Mowry, Mark Taylor and Smokey Robinson welcome the holidays in the Lifetime original movie Miracle In Motor City.
Mowry leads the cast as Amber Dupont, who gets in over her head when she takes charge of her church’s annual Christmas pageant and promises to deliver a special performance by Motown legend Smokey Robinson.
When her best friends secretly enlist Amber’s former flame Eddie (Mark Taylor) to help –- the pair reconnect in a quest to find Smokey and convince him to appear. With the clock ticking, family, friends, and superstar Smokey come together to stage the most special pageant yet.

In the trailer for the film, Mowry fears she won’t be able to deliver Smokey. “I called his agent, he’s booked solid. We need a Christmas miracle.”
Miracle In Motor City is produced by Cineflix Media with Mowry, Charles Tremayne, and Jeff Vanderwal serving as executive producers. Alfons Adetuyi directs from a script by Rhonda Baraka.
In 2020, Mowry signed a production deal with Lifetime to star in and produce three new holiday films. Miracle in Motor City is the first release under the agreement.
The film is part of the cable network’s 2021 “It’s a Wonderful Lifetime” holiday slate, which features 30 new movies in 30 days, from Nov. 26 to Christmas Day.
Miracle in Motor City is set to premiere on Sunday, Nov. 28 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Watch the trailer for the film below.
