Now that he’s out of the hospital and recovering, Kel Mitchell is offering new details on what led to his medical emergency.
After sharing a statement on social media the day after he was hospitalized, the Good Burger 2 star offered a new update with a video uploaded to Instagram on Nov. 10.

The actor said he was out shopping on Nov. 7, when he became disoriented.
“Suddenly the whole room started spinning,” he recalled.
He thought he was dehydrated and got some water and food, hoping that would help.
“When I did that, the whole right side of my arm, and my leg was numb — followed by me not being able to swallow and that’s when I panicked,” he said.
Mitchell drove himself to the hospital, which he now realizes was a bad idea.
“I wouldn’t advise anybody to do that, but I was panicking,” he admitted.
Mitchell said he failed an arm-and-leg test in the emergency room, causing alarm.
“That was raising fears that it was something more serious,” he said.
After a CT scan and EKG, he got a bit of good news.
“What we feared wasn’t what it was. It was actually a bulging disc that I had from a prior injury that was pressing up against a nerve, mimicking all those symptoms that I was going through,” he explained.
He thanked God, his wife, friends, and fans who reached out to express their concerns — including people who suggested “crazy” remedies on social media.
Mitchell noted that the SAG-AFTRA strike just ended and he’s now able to promote his new movie.
“Just know that a lot of Good Burger 2 content is coming your way that I couldn’t post before,” he said.
