Businesses are parting ways with Kanye West after his latest string of “harmful and hateful” social media posts.
The “Can’t Tell Me Nothing” rapper, now known as Ye, has repeatedly sparked anger in recent days for his posts on X (formerly Twitter). In response, he’s been dropped by his agent, kicked off Shopify, and had his X account was deactivated.
Daniel McCartney, the rapper’s music agent at 33 & West, posted a statement on his Instagram Stories saying he was dropping West as a client.
“Effective immediately, I’m no longer representing YE (F/K/A Kanye West) due to his recent harmful and hateful remarks that myself nor 33 & West can stand for,” McCartney wrote on Feb. 10, ending with, “peace and love to all.”

And on Tuesday, Feb. 11, e-commerce platform Shopify confirmed to Variety that it shut down the rapper’s Yeezy website after he attempted to sell merchandise featuring a swastika.
“All merchants are responsible for following the rules of our platform. This merchant did not engage in authentic commerce practices and violated our terms, so we removed them from Shopify,” the company said in a statement to the outlet.
West had been using Shopify to process transactions before his Yeezy site was taken down. Now, anyone visiting the site is met with a message reading “something went wrong.”
This latest fallout follows the rapper being silenced on X. It’s unclear if he deactivated his own account on Feb. 10, or if owner Elon Musk took it down.
Days earlier, West made headlines when he defended Sean “Diddy” Combs, while mocking the jailed mogul’s his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura.
The rapper shared a screengrab from hotel surveillance video of Ventura being beaten by Combs in 2016. The image was accompanied by a caption that read: “Hey question if someone were to beat up their girlfriend in public, would that be considered domestic violence, or is that outdoor violence, or is it just public indecency? I’m just asking for a friend.”
The rapper also tweeted at President Donald Trump, asking him to help free his “brother Puff,” who is jailed in Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center.
West’s remarks included praise for Adolf Hitler and the claim that antisemitism was “just some bulls— Jewish people made up.”
