Janet Jackson has publicly honored her late father, Joe Jackson, for the first time since his funeral.
Janet, 52, took to Twitter and Instagram Tuesday to share a childhood photo of herself sitting on Joe’s lap. She captioned the post with a heart emoji.
Fans were touched by the tribute, with many expressing their condolences in the comments section of the post.
Joe died last week in Las Vegas at age 89 after battling cancer.
Family members and friends said goodbye Monday during a private funeral and burial at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, Calif.
Joe was laid to rest in the same cemetery as son Michael Jackson, who passed away at age 50 in 2009.

Since Joe’s death on June 27, his family members have posted a series of tributes on social media.
Joe had a complicated history, but his relatives have continued to express their adoration for him on Instagram and Twitter.
Joe’s son, Jackie Jackson, posted a picture on Instagram Thursday of the two of them and said he loved his dad.
“Thank you for everything you’ve done for us, for all the sacrifices you made, so that we could be the best that we could be. I love you, Jackie,” he wrote.
“This man is and always will be an example or sheer willpower and dedication,” Michael’s son Prince Jackson captioned a photo on Instagram last week that showed him posing with his granddad.
“You taught me to take pride in the Jackson name and what it really means, you taught me dedication in the face of adversity and most of all you showed me strength and fearlessness,” Prince added.
