Jamie Foxx is ready to rock and roll on Beat Shazam.
The actor and comedian will return as host for season 7 of the music-focused game show this May, Fox network said in a press release Monday.
Foxx’s daughter Corinne Foxx is co-host and deejay.
Nick Cannon joined the series as guest host and Kelly Osbourne stepped into the DJ booth for season 6 after Jamie was hospitalized for an undisclosed illness in April 2023.
“Jamie and Corinne are the heart and soul of Beat Shazam,” Allison Wallach, Fox Entertainment’s President of Unscripted Entertainment said in a statement. “As our undeniably dynamic father-daughter hosting team, they bring a relationship like no other to a show like no other, and it’s wonderful having them back on set this season.”

On Sunday, March 3, Jamie was honored at the 7th annual AAFCA Special Achievement Awards luncheon, and discussed his recovery.
“Everybody wants to know what happened and I’m going to tell you what happened, but I gotta do it in my way. I’m going to do it in a funny way, I’m going to be on stage when I tell you, when I go back to the stand-up roots,” Foxx said.
Fans can catch Foxx on Beat Shazam when season 7 kicks off on Tuesday, May 28 from 8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT on Fox. The show will stream on Hulu.
The series pits teams of two against the clock and each other as they try to identify hit songs. In the end, the team with the most money banked goes up against popular song identification app, Shazam.
Over six previous seasons, the show has given away more than $10 million dollars, according to Fox. This season, the series will have special themed episodes that include teams of fathers, siblings, teachers, heroes and mothers.
The series is produced by Apploff Entertainment, MGM Alternative Television and BiggerStage in association with Shazam.
Jeff Apploff, Mark Burnett, Barry Poznick, Lauren Zalaznick, Pat Kiely, Sean O’Riordan and Jamie Foxx serve as executive producers.
