Jaleel White has a new role, as host of a daily game show called The Flip Side.

The actor is best known to fans for playing “Steve Urkel” on Family Matters, which aired from 1989 to 1998. Since then he’s had roles on a string of TV series, including Grown Ups, Fake It Til You Make It, Fresh Off the Boat, and The Ms. Pat Show, as well as the films Dreamgirls and Hustle.

White’s new game show launches this fall in national syndication, including on CBS-owned stations, and will also air on the Game Show Network.

According to the official description, the show pits two teams of players against each other “to test them on how they think two different groups of people feel about the same issue.” The teams must guess the top answers based on anonymous surveys and the winners take home $10,000.

The series is a Game Show Enterprises Studios production for CBS Media Ventures.

Flip Side is a project that we have been developing for over a year for the syndication marketplace… it creates a new business model for a daily syndicated show and will boost the show’s exposure out of the gate with the second run on Game Show Network,” Wendy McMahon, president and CEO of CBS News and Stations and CBS Media Ventures, said in a statement earlier this year.

Cleve Keller and Dave Noll of Keller/Noll are executive producers, alongside Ken Ross. Additional executive producers include Jay James, Corin Nelson and Rich Sirop. T. Jones is co-executive producer.

The Flip Side premieres in September. Check local listings for additional details.
