Whoever said acting was easy was lying, a statement that rings true for Oscar-winning actress Halle Berry.
While promoting her new film, The Union, the actress spoke with Netflix about suffering at least ten broken bones in her three-decade career.
“I’ve been knocked out three times, got an arm broken, broke ribs twice… two ribs one time, three ribs another time… broke a tail bone, broke two toes and a finger. This finger [holding up her middle finger],” said Berry.
X-Men, Brusied, Moonfall, Die Another Day, John Wick 3, and Kingsman: The Golden Circle are just a few in Berry’s long list of action films.

Along with her injuries, Berry revealed she learned several martial arts and combat sports — Brazilian jiu-jitsu, Muay Thai, kickboxing, and taekwondo.
For her lead role in the 2004 film, Catwoman, she was also taught capoeira, an Afro-Brazilian martial art that incorporates dancing.
Berry’s The Union co-star, Mark Wahlberg was also beside her in the Netflix interview.
Wahlberg shared that in his career, he suffered torn cartilage in a knee, a separated shoulder, and jokingly, “a bruised ego.”
In The Union, Wahlberg plays down-to-earth construction worker Mike, who finds himself in the world of spies after his high school sweetheart and secret agent, Roxanne (Halle Berry) recruits him on her next mission.
Wahlberg spoke with Fox News Digital about how it was “great” working with Berry.
“Halle, her and I have known each other for such a long time, and this movie is going to be so great because it’s every guy’s fantasy, to think that they got a shot with Halle Berry,” said the Lone Survivor star.
The Union premieres Friday, Aug. 16 on Netflix.
