NBC is bringing back freshman dramas Found and The Irrational for second seasons.

The network renewed both series on Wednesday, saying The Irrational is the #1 new show this season in total viewers, while Found is the #1 new drama in the advertiser coveted 18-49 demographic.

Among Black audiences, Found and The Irrational are the #1 and #2 broadcast shows, respectively.

Found centers on public relations specialist Gabi Mosely (played by Shanola Hampton), who uses her crisis management team to find forgotten missing people, usually women and children of color. Mosely herself was once a forgotten missing person, and works outside the system to help others. She’s also hiding a chilling secret.

Additional cast members includes Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Kelli Williams, Brett Dalton, Gabrielle Walsh, Arlen Escarpeta, and Karan Oberoi.

The series is executive produced by Nkechi Okoro Carroll, Sonay Hoffman, Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Leigh London Redman, and Lindsay Dunn. Shanola Hampton is a producer.

The Irrational follows professor of behavioral science Alec Mercer, played by Jesse L. Martin. Mercer uses his expertise to help crack cases involving governments, law enforcement agencies, and corporations. His unconventional approach to understanding human behavior helps solve perplexing mysteries.

The cast also includes Maahra Hill, Travina Springer, Molly Kunz, and Arash DeMaxi.

The series is based on author Dan Ariely’s best-selling book, “Predictably Irrational.” Arika Lisanne Mittman, Mark Goffman, Sam Baum and David Frankel are executive producers.

“These shows are a testament to the incredibly passionate work of our showrunners Nkechi Okoro Carroll (Found) and Arika Lisanne Mittman (The Irrational), both of whom have executed their visions flawlessly,” Lisa Katz, president of scripted content at NBCUniversal Entertainment, said in a statement. “A huge thank you to the talented cast, producers and crews for their tireless commitment and dedication, which has clearly paid off with audiences making these series must-see television on both NBC and next day on Peacock.”

Found airs Tuesdays at 10 p.m. on NBC and the next day on Peacock. Following the Dec. 12 episode, the series will return Jan. 9 for the final two shows of the season.

The Irrational returns with the final four episodes of its first season beginning Monday, Jan. 29 at 10 p.m. on NBC and the next day on Peacock.
