Production on Fast & Furious 9 was abruptly halted Monday when a stuntman suffered an injury on set, and emergency crews were called to Warner Bros.’ Leavesden Studios in Hertfordshire, England.
“Police were called shortly before noon today following an incident at Warner Bros Studios in Leavesden, Hertfordshire,” a Hertfordshire police spokeswoman told UK paper The Sun. “It was reported that a man had been injured while working at the location and sustained serious injuries.”

“We had an injury on the set of Fast 9 today in Leavesden with one of our stuntmen,” Universal Pictures said in a statement to the media. “We have halted production for the day to focus on this situation.”
The man was flown to a nearby hospital after suffering some type of fall, according to the East of England Ambulance Service.
“One patient with a serious head injury was transported to the Royal London Hospital by air ambulance,” a spokesperson with the ambulance service told The Sun.
Fast & Furious 9 is directed by Justin Lin. The ninth installment of the popular franchise features a star-studded cast, including Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Charlize Theron, John Cena, Ludacris, Helen Mirren and Charlize Theron.
The film is scheduled to open on May 22, 2020.
