Forget about going Instagram official, Common and Jennifer Hudson confirmed they’re dating on national TV.

The normally-private rapper visited The Jennifer Hudson Show on Monday and shared details about his personal life.

After Hudson announced the name of her first guest, Common walked on stage smiling and gave her a large floral arrangement.

Hudson, 42, said they’ve known each other for years, and have a lot in common because they were both raised in Chicago.

“Now, we gotta get down to business, Mr. Common. I’m a host and so I have to ask you this question ’cause everybody always wants to know this, are you dating anyone?” Hudson said.

Common, 51, didn’t name names, but said he’s in a relationship with “one of the most beautiful people I ever met in my life.”

“She’s smart, she loves God, she’s got something real down to earth about her. She’s talented. But I set my standard kind of high because she had to have an EGOT, she had to win an Oscar on her first movie… She had to get her own talk show,” he shared.

Hudson reached EGOT status in 2022, after winning a Tony Award for serving as a producer on “A Strange Loop.” Prior to that, she took home Oscar, Emmy and Grammy awards.

The “Glory” rapper was actually on the show to promote his new self-care book, And Then We Rise: A Guide to Loving and Taking Care of Self.

In a cheeky moment, he asked Hudson if she’s seeing anyone.

The daytime talk show host said she’s “very happy” in a relationship, prompting Common to say he feels the same way.

“This relationship is a happy place for me,” the rapper and actor replied. “Seeing her happy actually makes me really happy. So, I’m very grateful. I thank God each and every day, and I’m just letting God guide this relationship.”

Someone from the audience yelled, “She’s the one!” and Common smiled.

Over the years, the rapper and actor has dated a string of women in the entertainment industry.

He’s been linked to Hudson since 2022, when Radar Online reported they were “seen getting cozy” in Philadelphia. Until now, neither confirmed reports they were dating.
