The animated series is based on the original UPN/CW comedy, Everybody Hates Chris, which ran for four seasons from 2005 to 2009.

Like the original series, the remake will feature Rock narrating stories inspired by his own hilarious experiences growing up in the 1980s.

As previously reported, Terry Crews who played Chris’ hardworking and thrifty father, Julius in the original series, and Tichina Arnold who played Chris’ strong-willed mother Rochelle, are both returning to voice their characters.

Former Disney and Nickelodeon star Tim Johnson Jr. will be voicing Young Chris, while Ozioma Akagha will voice the role of Rock’s little sister and the baby of the family, Tonya.

Former Henry Danger and Danger Force star Terrence Little Gardenhigh will voice Rock’s younger, but “cooler” brother Drew, and Rock’s “only friend in school” Greg is voiced by Kung Fu Panda’s Gunnar Sizemore.

Everybody Still Hates Chris will premiere this Wednesday, Sept. 25 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on Comedy Central.
