Bow Wow Faces Backlash for Saying Hollywood Isn’t the Same Without Diddy’s Parties

For decades, Diddy was known for throwing celebrity-filled parties.

But the public remained unaware of what happened after-hours, until the music mogul’s ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura filed a sexual abuse lawsuit in November 2023, revealing details of his reported sex and drug-fueled “freak-offs.”

With Diddy jailed and facing federal sex trafficking and racketeering charges in New York, fellow hip-hop insider Bow Wow says the party scene in Hollywood isn’t the same, especially after award shows.

On a recent episode of the “More To The Story With Rocsi Diaz” podcast, Bow Wow called Diddy the “gatekeeper to the game.”

“BET Awards weekend, it just didn’t feel right because there was no motion, there was no parties. There was just nowhere to go,” the Roll Bounce star said.

Rocsi cut Bow Wow off and said, “Let’s be very specific between parties and freak-offs.”

The rapper changed the subject, but said regardless of Diddy’s legal troubles, the mogul is “important for the culture.”

The “Basketball” rapper wasn’t done and said he had “studied and idolized” the mogul’s success.

The Neighborhood Talk Instagram account posted video of the podcast interview, which went viral over the weekend.

The post currently has more than 1,600 comments, with many criticizing Bow Wow.

“Studying Diddy is crazy,” one person commented.

“It’s a time to talk & a time to shut up,” someone else wrote.

“He probably got diddled,” another person alleged about Bow Wow.

Still, others defended the former CSI: Cyber star and said his comments were being taken out of context.

“Y’all know what this man trying to say and misconstruing every word coming out his mouth! He’s not condoning anything he’s saying the man gave the best industry parties,” someone else posted.

Diddy was arrested by federal agents on Sept. 16 at a hotel in New York City.

The next day, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York announced the mogul was charged with three federal counts — racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution.

The Bad Boy Records founder pleaded not guilty to all charges. However, he remains jailed at the notorious Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn after being denied bail.

Diddy also faces a string of civil lawsuits alleging sexual abuse. During an Oct. 1 news conference, Houston attorney Tony Buzbee said his Buzbee Law Firm has received thousands of inquiries from alleged victims, after announcing it was working on a case against the mogul.

The attorney said his firm has been able to corroborate allegations from 120 of the people who came forward, including 25 who were minors at the time of the alleged abuse.

Diddy’s attorney Erica Wolff responded with a strongly-worded statement.

“Mr. Combs emphatically and categorically denies as false and defamatory any claim that he sexually abused anyone, including minors,” Wolff said. “He looks forward to proving his innocence and vindicating himself in court, where the truth will be established based on evidence, not speculation.”
