CBS released the first teaser trailer for Beyond the Gates on Monday, offering a look at the glitz and drama on the upcoming daytime soap.
The teaser opens with a Maybach arriving at a gated mansion.
“Here we are. A new dawn. Welcome to Fairmont Crest,” voices announce in the trailer.
Tamara Tunie, who stars as family matriarch Anita Dupree, walks inside, removes her fur coat, and glares at someone in the house.
Moments later, an impeccably dressed woman holding a golf club loses it and threatens to clobber a man sitting at a desk.

The Duprees are a powerful and affluent Black family living in a posh, gated community in a Maryland suburb outside Washington, D.C. They are the very definition of “Black royalty,” but behind the pristine walls and manicured gardens are juicy secrets and scandals waiting to be uncovered.
According to the official description, the series will be full of “scandals, backstabbing, grudges and family drama.”
Clifton Davis co-stars as family patriarch, retired senator Vernon Dupree.
The cast also includes Daphnee Duplaix, Karla Mosley, Alex Alegria, Lauren Buglioli, Brandon Claybon, Timon Kyle Durrett, Sean Freeman, Ben Gavin, Marquita Goings, Jibre Hordges, Jen Jacob, Maurice Johnson, Trisha Mann-Grant, Mike Manning, RhonniRose Mantilla, Ambyr Michelle, Colby Muhammad and Arielle Prepetit.
The series marks the first daytime drama with a primarily Black cast since Generations, which aired from 1989 to 1991.
Beyond the Gates will take over the timeslot held by The Talk, which ends its 15-season run on Dec. 20, as previously reported.
The new series is developed in a collaboration between CBS Studios and the NAACP. Production began in November in Atlanta, Georgia.
Michele Val Jean, an award-winning writer on The Bold & the Beautiful, General Hospital, and Ambitions is the writer, showrunner and executive producer.
Additional executive producers include Sheila Ducksworth, Robert Guza Jr., Julie Carruthers, Leon W. Russell, Derrick Johnson, Kimberly Doebereiner and Anna Saalfeld.
Beyond the Gates premieres Feb. 24 and airs weekdays from 2:00-3:00 p.m. ET / 1:00-2:00 p.m. PT on CBS and streams on Paramount+.
