Beyond the Gates is getting an encore run on BET.

The cable network added repeats of the CBS soap to its programming lineup earlier this week.

According to Soap Opera Network, the first episode of the daytime drama aired on Black Entertainment Television on Monday, March 10.

The outlet says the plan is for BET to air at least the first ten episodes in primetime, introducing the show to a new audience.

The episodes air on BET Monday through Friday at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT, two weeks after they originally run on CBS.

The BET programming schedule includes details on which episode airs each night. BET and CBS are both part of the Paramount Global family, so the synergy makes sense.

Beyond the Gates marks the first soap with a primarily Black cast since Generations, which aired from 1989 to 1991.

The new series follows the Duprees, a powerful and affluent Black family living in a gated community in a Maryland suburb outside Washington, D.C. Tamara Tunie and Clifton Davis portray the heads of the family.

The cast also includes Daphnee Duplaix, Karla Mosley, Alex Alegria, Lauren Buglioli, Brandon Claybon, Timon Kyle Durrett, Sean Freeman, Ben Gavin, Marquita Goings, Jibre Hordges, Jen Jacob, Maurice Johnson, Trisha Mann-Grant, Mike Manning, RhonniRose Mantilla, Ambyr Michelle, Colby Muhammad and Arielle Prepetit.

The soap premiered on Feb. 24 and airs weekdays from 2:00-3:00 p.m. ET / 1:00-2:00 p.m. PT on CBS and streams on Paramount+.

It averaged 2.28 million cross-platform viewers in its premiere week, according to The Hollywood Reporter. That’s a 78 percent improvement over last year’s performance by The Talk, which previously held the timeslot.

The show was developed in a collaboration between CBS Studios and the NAACP.
