The Dupree family members are determined to protect themselves at all costs in the extended trailer for CBS soap Beyond the Gates.
The daytime drama follows an affluent Black family living in a gated community outside Washington, D.C.
The Duprees are the definition of “Black royalty,” but behind the luxury lifestyle are secrets and scandals.
Tamara Tunie and Clifton Davis portray the heads of the family. “It warms my heart to see this beautiful family,” Tunie says in the trailer.
But the family is far from warm or friendly, as rivalries and disputes emerge from the start.
One family member vows to “shake things up,” while another promises to “make cheaters pay.”
