Jennifer Williams can’t stop smiling about her new marriage in the trailer for Basketball Wives season 12.
But some of the other women, particularly Evelyn Lozada, don’t think the wedded bliss will last long.
Jen exchanged vows with Christian Gold in September 2024, days after he was arrested for violating his probation on a false imprisonment conviction. That wasn’t Christian’s only brush with the law. On season 11, he admitted that he’d served time for “grand theft auto.”
Still, Jennifer brushed off concerns about Christian’s past, and moved forward with the wedding.
“I am a married woman,” she says in the trailer. The entrepreneur, businesswoman, and original Basketball Wives cast member is giddy.
Christian raises a glass to toast their union as Jennifer shows off her diamond ring.

In a confessional, her longtime friend Evelyn is furious that Jennifer went through with the wedding after learning about Christian’s convictions.
“But she got married to this fool. She’s dumb as f–k,” Evelyn says.
Later at a group dinner, Jennifer tells the women she’s not interested in their opinions about Christian.
“I get it… but sometimes a motherf–ker can bring you down,” Evelyn shouts as Jennifer walks out. “Tell your man to stop being a f–ing thief!”
OGs Jackie Christie, Brandi Maxiell, and Brittany Renner will also be back this season. New players include beauty mogul Ming Lee, former WNBA star Ty Young, and Jackie’s daughter Chantel Christie-Jeffries.
Text on screen warns: “Prepare for the most explosive season yet.”
Basketball Wives season 12 premieres Monday, May 5 at 8/7C on VH1. Check out the trailer above.
It seems Christian’s legal troubles are far from over, and the new season really will be “explosive.”
Last month, Urban Belle reported Christian was hit with a civil lawsuit by 21 plaintiffs accusing him of running a Ponzi scheme and taking their money.
The website linked to the lawsuit filed on Feb. 21, 2025, in Georgia’s Cobb County Superior Court.
It claimed Christian Gold, aka Christian Walden, violated the state’s Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act by lying about investment opportunities and allegedly committing fraud. Stay tuned.
