Taraji P. Henson makes a surprise visit to Abbott Elementary and the students have a lot of questions.

ABC released a promo overnight for Wednesday’s episode, which shows Henson strutting into Janine’s (Quinta Brunson) classroom to Eve’s 2001 club anthem “Who’s That Girl?”

A student notices the unexpected visitor and asks Janine, “Miss Teagues, who is that?”

It’s Janine’s mom Vanetta, played by Henson.

As a stunned Janine stands silently, Vanetta tells the students they have “the greatest teacher in the world.” But she nearly loses it when a little boy suggests she’s old and calls her “Miss Grandma Teagues.” She stops herself before going off on the student.

Earlier this month, ABC announced Henson would appear on the hit comedy’s April 12 episode titled “Mom.”

The episode will see Janine planning a Memorial Day weekend solo trip. But her plans hit a snag when her mom shows up unannounced and asks for help.

Last week, Henson stopped by The View and revealed she asked to be on Abbott Elemenary while appearing alongside creator Quinta Brunson on a game show.

“I was singing her praises. I was telling her how proud I was, I was like, ‘Girl, any time you need me call me,’ and she called!” Henson explained. “I was like, ‘absolutely I’ll do it.’ It was just so much fun. That cast is incredibly talented. The writing is very witty, it’s smart, it’s funny, and I have an affinity for teachers. I was a substitute teacher before my career took off.”

The “Mom” episode of Abbott Elementary featuring Taraji P. Henson airs at 9 p.m. ET/PT on April 12. The season finale airs the following week.
