For the first time since Sean “Diddy” Combs was hit with a flood of sexual abuse lawsuits, his former girlfriend, City Girls rapper Yung Miami, has publicly addressed their relationship.

In an interview released Thursday, Aug. 8, for the season 2 premiere of her “Caresha Please” podcast, the rapper was questioned by her best friend, influencer Saucy Santana, about mental health and her experience dating Combs.

“I wanted to tell my truth, my story, on my platform,” Yung Miami said on the podcast, produced by Revolt, which Diddy founded but is no longer affiliated with.

When asked how she’s doing “mentally,” the 30-year-old rapper got emotional.

“I’m just all over the place. I’m going through a lot,” she explained.

“One minute I’m happy. One minute I’m sad. One minute I’m like f–k this sh-t. The next minute, I’m looking at my kids and I’m like, ‘I didn’t bring us this far to go backwards.’ I work hard,” the mother of two said through tears.

Yung Miami, born Caresha Brownlee, said she met Diddy, 54, through mutual contacts in the music industry.

The two were first linked in 2021. They confirmed their relationship on her podcast in June 2022. That same month, she was by the mogul’s side when he received a lifetime achievement honor at the 2022 BET Awards.

During his acceptance speech, she was shown in the audience holding up a sign saying “Go Papi.”

“People feel like I was Diddy’s biggest cheerleader and I made him my brand. And I felt like Diddy was on brand for me,” she said in Thursday’s interview. “I met Diddy when the world was celebrating him and giving him his flowers when he was alive. He was getting the (MTV VMAs) global icon award, the (BET Awards) lifetime achievement award, the key to the city. He had a new album that was coming out, so I was celebrating him with the world.”

But she said since the civil lawsuits accusing Diddy of rape, sexual assault and sex trafficking began to pile up, she’s been “crucified.”

“I just feel like everybody’s trying to crucify me for it… I was just celebrating when the world was celebrating him. So why am I being crucified, or why am I being separated?” she said.

As for why she never spoke out about the allegations against Combs, or the horrifying video of him physically attacking ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura, Yung Miami said she didn’t have the same experiences with the mogul as his accusers.

“I can’t speak on something that wasn’t my experience, and I can’t speak on something that I don’t know. I can’t speak on these allegations because I wasn’t around at the time,” she said. “I don’t know that person, and that wasn’t my experience.”

Asked if Diddy ever hit her, Yung Miami said she was in two prior relationships where there was domestic violence and she promised herself she’d never stay in another abusive relationship.

“I don’t stand for domestic violence. “I’m just not going for that,” she said.

She said Combs mentored her and gave her advice on how to build an empire.

“I just feel like Puff was a really, really good person to me. I feel like he came and he helped me; he elevated me,” she said. “He saw a lot of things in me, and I feel like that’s one of his specialties, like, he knows how to find people and identify their talent. He was able to see more than music in me.”

Yung Miami then confirmed the two are no longer dating.

“When all of these things came out, I just needed to take a break and focus on what’s important and it was just me and my career and my family,” the rapper said.

Yung Miami also discussed the current state of the City Girls and her upcoming projects.
