Fans of Wicked will soon be able to watch the musical film at home — with lots of bonus features.
The Universal Pictures release will be available to purchase or rent on Dec. 31, 2024, via major digital platforms including Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, Fandango at Home, and Comcast Xfinity, according to Variety.
A month later, the film will be released on 4K UHD, Blu-ray and DVD on Feb. 4, 2025.

The movie is an adaptation of the beloved Broadway musical by the same name and serves as a prequel to The Wizard of Oz.
The film follows Glinda (Ariana Grande) and Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo) as students at Shiz University in the Land of Oz and how their lives and friendship change after an encounter with The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.
The cast also includes Michelle Yeoh, Jeff Goldblum, Jonathan Bailey, Ethan Slater, Marissa Bode, Bowen Yang, Bronwyn James, Keala Settle, and Peter Dinklage.
The Jon M. Chu-directed musical fantasy opened on Nov. 22, 2024, and topped the domestic box office with $112.5 million on its opening weekend, according to Box Office Mojo. Since its release, the film has made more than $580 million worldwide.
Both audiences and moviegoers were enthralled. The film received an 88 percent score on Rotten Tomatoes, with critics praising the “magical pairing” of Grande and Erivo. While audiences gave it an “A” rating on CinemaScore.
The digital release of Wicked will include several exclusive bonus features:

-Making of Wicked: Return to Oz for “a fantastic behind-the-scenes journey with this expansive look inside the characters, choreography, and creativity” of the movie.
-Featurette on Shiz University, designed based on details in L. Frank Baum’s books, detail the uniforms, clever contraptions, and circular sets across a sprawling magical campus.
-A Wicked Legacy: Cast and filmmakers share personal memories of their first encounters with the original Broadway production.
-Feature Commentary With Jon M. Chu, Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande
