WE tv spotlights entrepreneurs in the plus size community with the new reality series Super Sized Salon.

The show follows the staff at Babydoll Beauty Couture, a beauty salon catering to plus size women in Las Vegas.

“At Babydoll, there’s always a happy moment, sad moment, uplifting moment or some bullsh-t,” one of the stars of the show says in the trailer.

The salon, started by Jamie Lopez, glams up women in the plus size community. The staff includes receptionist Astra, aka “Funky Chunky,” holistic hair care specialist “A-Love,” fashion stylist “007,” celebrity hairstylist and makeup artist, Taj, and makeup/lash artist and esthetician, BB.

The women all work together but at times tensions heat up, including when some of them question if Lopez has what it takes to run the business as she struggles to get around the salon and uses a walker.

She asks her employees in one scene, “Do you guys not take me seriously as a boss because of my mobility issues?”

The women also disagree on how to run the salon. “The energy in here is f–ked up Jamie, and I need you to fix it!” one of the women says.

The show is produced for WE tv by Boat Rocker’s Matador Content, and executive produced by Jay Peterson, Todd Lubin, Pam LaLima and Sam Brown. Executive producers for WE tv are Lauren P. Gellert and Kari McFarland.

Super Sized Salon premieres Friday, July 29 at 10:30pm ET/PT on WE tv. The series will also stream on ALLBLK every Tuesday following its WE tv airing.
