Tyra Banks is reportedly moving on from America’s Got Talent.
Banks, who signed on to host the NBC reality competition series in March 2017, following Nick Cannon’s exit, is redirecting her attention toward producing TV projects and movies.
The supermodel caught the producing bug following the Dec. 2 premiere of Life-Size 2, a sequel she produced and starred in. The follow-up to the 2000 made-for-TV movie Life-Size scored a 0.5 rating in adults 18-49, and its premiere brought in 1,263,000 total viewers, according to TV by the Numbers.
Life-Size 2 also performed well on social media, topping the Nielsen Twitter TV ratings for the week ending Dec. 2.

A source told the New York Post that the movie’s success is opening new doors for Banks.
“Life-Size 2 went way beyond expectations… it was Freeform’s biggest premiere of the year… executives were over the moon with the cult classic sequel,” the source explained to the Post.
The insider added: “Tyra’s been inundated with producing and acting requests… she wants to produce and create TV. She will not be returning to ‘AGT’ in the new year.”
If Banks does leave the show, there’s a good chance AGT contestants will miss her supportive presence.
“I have a very intimate relationship with them and I’m supporting them and holding them and hugging them through tears and through excitement,” the California native told TV Weekly Now about her hands-on approach to hosting. “It’s a much different experience than the judges have.”
AGT, however, has yet to release a statement about the 45-year-old mogul’s rumored departure.
