Patti LaBelle to Serve Up Music and Home Cooking on TV One ‘Holiday Party’

Patti LaBelle is getting fans in the holiday spirit with a TV One Christmas special featuring her legendary music and cuisine.

The special titled Patti LaBelle’s Holiday Party will feature the R&B diva serving up some of her favorite dishes and singing with her friends, TV One said in a press release.

Ms. Patti will be joined by fellow R&B singer Tamar Braxton, who will collaborate with the “Stir It Up” singer at the piano and in the kitchen.

LaBelle is known for her cooking. Walmart carries her dessert line, which includes sweet potato pies, peach cobbler, and bread pudding. In 2015, millions of the sweet potato pies flew off store shelves after a YouTuber went wild over the pies in a viral video.

Patti LaBelle’s Holiday Party premieres Sunday, Dec. 19 at 7 P.M. ET/6C on TV One.

TV One will also celebrate the season with a holiday love story titled Someday at Christmas.

The original film stars Thomas Q. Jones (Runaway Island) and Asia’h Epperson (Straight Outta Compton). The movie is directed by Vanessa Bell Calloway, who shared pictures and video from the set on her Instagram page.

Here’s the official description: “This heartwarming holiday film explores love and fated encounters. After being stuck in a train station on Christmas Eve, two strangers meet at a bar, only to lose complete contact with each other hours later. They reconnect after an unexpected series of events, but on much more complicated terms.”

Someday at Christmas debuts Sunday, Dec. 12 at 7 P.M. ET/6C on TV One. Watch the trailer below.
