Netflix has released the first teaser trailer for Tyler Perry’s upcoming war drama The Six Triple Eight.

Based on a true story, Kerry Washington leads the cast as Major Charity Adams, commanding officer of the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion.

The Battalion is known as the first and only Women’s Army Corps unit of color to serve overseas in WWII.

“Soldiers, you must be perfect!” Washington says in the trailer. “You do not have the luxury to be good, you have the burden to be better.”

Despite dealing with racism, sexism and grueling working conditions, the women of the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion, nicknamed the “Six Triple Eight,” were committed to serving their country, while shattering barriers in the process.
