Tiffany Haddish says she’s open to hosting the 2020 Oscars, under the right conditions.
The actress and comedian addressed rumors that she might host the show during an appearance on Sunday’s special edition of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
After Jimmy Fallon told Haddish fans want her to host the 92nd Academy Awards, she said she’d do it under two conditions.
“I would if they paid me, and I could do it with somebody,” she said.

She then told Fallon he’d be a great co-host.
“If you did it with me, I would do it,” Haddish said. “I don’t want all that pressure on me. ‘Cause I’m gonna lose my hair and then I’m gonna have to really wear wigs all the time. It’s too much stress. Unless they paid me a lot of money. Then I would be like, ‘it’s worth it.'”

If everything came together, Haddish promised the show would be “hot.”
“I would have it hot,” the Girls Trip actress said. “It would be so much fun. We would have twerk contests and everything. Yeah, I would get Meryl Streep up there to twerk with Susan Sarandon. You know, it would be crazy.”
Haddish presented with Maya Rudolph at the 2018 Oscars and won rave reviews.
Instead of focusing on the nominated movies and performances, the two joked about the year’s increased diversity after the previous #OscarsSoWhite controversy.
“I know what you’re thinking,” Haddish said. “Are the Oscars too black now? Don’t worry. We were just backstage and there are still a bunch of white people still to come.”
