The season 2 trailer for Swagger is out and it shows all the hard work the players have been putting in could be on shaky ground.
Inspired by NBA star Kevin Durant’s life, the Apple TV+ drama series follows a close-knit group of youth basketball players starting their senior year at an elite prep school. Almost overnight, they help propel the team to a winning streak.
College scouts from top universities, including UCLA, start showing up at the games. But all of that seems to be in jeopardy when trouble arises among the group of young men, including main character Jace (played by Isaiah Hill).
“All the work you’ve done, you were so close, you put it all at risk,” his mother Jenna (played by Shinelle Azoroh) says in the trailer. “You could go to jail,” she warns him.

The video also shows the young men in a courtroom, while their coach Ike “Icon” Edwards (played by O’Shea Jackson Jr.) tells Jace not to “let other people’s opinion become a reality.”
Reprising their roles in the second season of Swagger are Academy Award nominee Quvenzhané Wallis, Tristan Mack Wilds, Caleel Harris, Tessa Ferrer, James Bingham, Solomon Irama, Ozie Nzeribe, Jason Rivera, Christina Jackson and Sean Baker, alongside new additions Orlando Jones and Shannon Brown.
Swagger is executive produced by Reggie Rock Bythewood (director of Dancing in September), Durant, Brian Grazer and Rich Kleiman. The series is produced for Apple TV+ by Imagine Television Studios, Boardroom, CBS Studios and Undisputed Cinema. Francie Calfo and Joy Kecken also serve as executive producers. James Seidman serves as co-executive producer.
Season 2 premieres Friday, June 23, followed by a new episode every Friday through Aug. 11 on Apple TV+
