“This is my time,” Sherri Shepherd declares in the promo for her new daytime talk show Sherri.

Shepherd debuted the video this weekend on social media. Wearing an asymmetrical yellow dress and seated on a grey sofa, she says the new daytime program is a dream come true.

“It is my lifelong dream to have my own show and it’s finally happening,” the former co-host of The View shares.

The actress and comedian tells fans they’re invited along for the official kickoff and the journey to bring the show to TV. “I want you to join me for every step of this journey I’m taking you on, behind the scenes, on the road, in the studio, rehearsals, interviews and so much more.”

Sherri is produced and distributed by Debmar-Mercury. As previously reported, the show will take over the timeslot previously held on Fox-owned television stations by The Wendy Williams Show.

Longtime Wendy showrunner David Perler will executive produce alongside Shepherd and her producing partner Jawn Murray, according to Debmar-Mercury.

The Wendy show was officially canceled earlier this year after its current season amid Williams’ ongoing health problems. Since season 13 of the daytime staple premiered on Oct. 18, 2021, Williams never made a single on-air appearance.

The original premiere date for the season was pushed back several times due to Williams contracting a breakthrough case of COVID-19, and complications from her previous diagnosis of Graves’ disease. Williams has also been engaged in a public battle with Wells Fargo over control of her finances.

Amid Williams’ struggles, multiple guest hosts filled in on her show and Sherri Shepherd quickly emerged as a fan favorite.

Sherri will debut this fall.
