Shemar Moore Tests Positive for COVID-19: ‘Chills and Aches All Day’

Shemar Moore has revealed he tested positive for coronavirus.

The S.W.A.T. actor shared details on Instagram this week, but assured fans he “will be okay.”

“I HAVE COVID!!!! Just found out moments ago…” the actor wrote in a post on Thursday.

Moore, 50,  said he initially thought something else was wrong.

“I thought I had food poisoning… chills and aches all day today… still can smell, taste, no cough, no runny nose …I have to accept test results,” he explaind. “I feel fine now… but I have to be responsible!!!! My Xmas n New Years is clearly not gonna be the best… my last year and a half has not been the best… but I WILL BE OKAY!!!!”

The Criminal Minds alum then offered reassuring words about the current state of the world.

“This is a hard time for ALL OF US… the WORLD!!! But… I BELIEVE in the sun shining through the rain!!! Stay safe and appreciate everything and everybody you have and had!! MUCH LOVE!!!!” he concluded, along with the hashtag #wearamask.

Many followers responded to the post with well-wishes. “My brother. I’m here!” wrote actor Michael Beach.

“Get well soon king!!” added Instagram user @aureumcastle.

“I’m sorry, I am a Covid survivor. You will get through,” replied @sour.keywee.

A total of 18.8 million people have tested positive in the U.S. since the COVID-19 pandemic began, according to the New York Times COVID tracker. In the U.S. alone, the virus has claimed more than 330,000 lives as of Saturday.
