Krayzie Bone is improving after a health crisis nearly took his life.
The Bone Thugs-N-Harmony rapper posted an update to Instagram on Tuesday, Oct. 3, letting his friends and fans know he’s getting better. He included a picture of himself in a hospital room.
“Just fought for life literally for 9 days straight,” he wrote in the caption. “And I only won the battle this time because I know Jehovah God was with me every step of the way fighting for me. Never take life for granted, enjoy it while have you have it! Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers trust me I needed every last one of them.”

The rapper, born Anthony Henderson, checked himself into a Los Angeles area hospital on Sept. 21.
Music news website, AllHipHop, which first reported on his hospitalization, said the rapper was in an ICU after “coughing up large amounts of blood.” Meanwhile, TMZ reported he was “fighting for his life” and needed “at least two surgeries” to address internal bleeding.
The music star suffers from sarcoidosis, an inflammatory disease that occurs when the “immune system overreacts, causing groups of cells to form clusters of inflamed tissue called ‘granulomas’ in one or more organs of the body,” according to the American Lung Association.
Following his hospitalization, group mate Bizzy Bone sent well-wishes in an Instagram Story. “Keep Strong Kray, you got this,” he wrote along with “Pray for Kray.”
Bone Thugs-n-Harmony got their star in Cleveland, Ohio. In addition to Krayzie Bone, the group’s members include Bizzy Bone, Wish Bone, Layzie Bone, and Flesh-n-Bone.
Their hits include “Thuggish Ruggish Bone,” “1st of tha Month,” and “East 1999.” The group won a Grammy Award in 1997 for the single, “Tha Crossroads.”
