Bone Thugs-N-Harmony member Krayzie Bone is reportedly hospitalized in an ICU.

According to AllHipHop, the rapper checked himself into a Los Angeles area hospital on Friday, Sept. 22, “after he started coughing up large amounts of blood.”

The hip-hop star, whose real name is Anthony Henderson, underwent a cat scan and doctors discovered blood was leaking in one of his lungs. He had surgery and as of Sunday was on a ventilator and sedated. Sources told the outlet the surgery didn’t stop the bleeding.

The 50-year-old rapper suffers from sarcoidosis, which is an inflammatory disease. The American Lung Association says the condition happens when the “immune system overreacts, causing groups of cells to form clusters of inflamed tissue called ‘granulomas’ in one or more organs of the body.”

The cause is not known, but it’s associated with increased immune system activity.
