Fans eager for the next installment of Power Book IV: Force can celebrate because production is now underway on the third season of the Starz crime drama.
The cast is back on set and the series is currently filming in Chicago, the premium cable network said in a press release on Thursday, Feb. 22.
Power Book IV: Force lead actor Joseph Sikora posted a photo on his Instagram account Thursday in character as Tommy Egan, while holding a production clapboard. Sikora captioned the post, “Season 3 Let’s gooooooo.”
As the third spinoff in the Power franchise, Force follows Tommy, who cuts ties in New York and headed to Chicago in search of new opportunities.
The second season ended with Tommy on a mission to avenge the death of his friend Liliana (Audrey Esparza), who was killed by Claudia Flynn (Lili Simmons) at the end of the first season.

The series was renewed for a third season in December, as previously reported.
The cast also include Isaac Keys, Lili Simmons, Shane Harper, Kris D. Lofton, Carmela Zumbado, Manuel Eduardo Ramirez, Miriam A. Hyman, Chris Tardio, Adrienne Walker, Anthony Fleming III, and Lucien Cambric.
It’s been a busy week for the Starz family, with the cast of Power Book III: Raising Kanan returning to production and filming season 4 in New York City.
As for Power Book IV: Force, Gary Lennon serves as showrunner and executive producer.
Additional executive producers include Courtney A. Kemp through her production company End of Episode, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson through G-Unit Film and Television, and Mark Canton through Atmosphere Entertainment. Terri Kopp and Chris Selak are also executive producers. Lionsgate Television produces the series for Starz.
A release date for season 3 will be announced later.
