Power Book II: Ghost is getting a second season on Starz.
The spinoff stars Mary J. Blige and continues the journey of some of Power‘s most controversial characters. Blige plays drug queenpin Monet Tejada opposite Method Man as slick lawyer Davis Maclean.
Courtney A. Kemp created both series.
“I am incredibly humbled by and grateful for the response from our Power — the best fans in the world, period. To have our fans return—and bring new viewers to the first spinoff in the Power universe — is a dream come true,” Kemp said in a statement to TV Line.
Power Book II: Ghost premiered on Sept. 6. According to Starz, it is the most watched new series in the network’s history, reaching nearly 7.5 million viewers on the channel and its app in the first week. The drama is the first of four planned series related to the original Power starring Omari Hardwick, Naturi Naughton, Joseph Sikora, and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson.

Plus, Power Book IV: Force, a sequel that follows Joseph Sikora’s character Tommy, will also be released in the near future.
