Stay away from Freaknik, Tatyana Ali warns in the trailer for the upcoming BET+ series Perimeter.

Paige is described as the “daughter of a councilman, girlfriend of a drug dealer” in the trailer for the series.
“You better not be going to that Freaknik thing,” Ali tells Mone’t in the video.
Donovan Christie Jr. (A Fall From Grace) also stars in the series. Additional cast members include Malcolm Xavier, Jalen Gilbert, Wes Montez, Jordan Coleman, Sharon Conley, Evan Gamble, and Shawn Vaughn.
Set in 1990s Atlanta, the drama follows the Dawn family led by Councilman Robert Dawn (Christie). The ambitious politician’s quest to become mayor brings personal sacrifices and moral dilemmas, just as Atlanta makes global headlines for the controversial Freaknik spring break gathering and the 1996 Summer Olympics.
Perimeter comes from Tyler Perry Studios and was filmed in Atlanta.
Armani Ortiz (Maxine’s Baby: The Tyler Perry Story) wrote and directed the series. Ortiz and Tyler Perry are executive producers. Asante White and Deance Wyatt are producers.
Perimeter is set to premiere Feb. 29 on BET+.
