Peacock released the trailer on Monday for the upcoming musical comedy Praise This, about the competitive gospel scene in Atlanta.
The film stars Grammy-nominated performer Chloe Bailey of R&B duo Chloe x Halle, alongside Grammy-nominated artists Tristan Mack Wilds and Quavo of Migos fame.
Bailey leads the cast as Sam, an aspiring singer determined to break into the music business. When her father worries Sam is associating with the wrong crowd, he moves the family from Los Angeles to Atlanta to live with Sam’s cousin.
After moving, Sam is forced to join her cousin’s struggling praise team in the lead-up to a national championship competition, and she sees an opportunity to finally make her dreams come true. In the process, she learns praise is not about glory, but gratitude.
