Niles Fitch is making history as Disney’s first live-action Black prince.
The This Is Us actor will play the charismatic Prince Tuma in the upcoming Secret Society of Second-Born Royals for Disney+.
The streamer posted details Friday on Instagram, saying the original movie will arrive in summer 2020.
Fitch also shared details with fans in a Friday post on Instagram, writing: “Welcome Disney’s first Black prince.”
The actor, 18, is best known for his role as a younger version of Sterling K. Brown’s character, Randall Pearson, in This Is Us.
Secret Society of Second-Born Royals focuses on a group of teens who might not be first in line for the throne, but they inherit superpowers, which they’ll have to use to save the world.

Peyton Elizabeth Lee, who plays Sam, spoke to Entertainment Weekly about her character.
“Sam has always felt like not only is she second born, but she is also second best. She is struggling to find where she can shine and where she belongs,” she said. “Sam is going to be a unique addition to the Disney princess family because she doesn’t want to be a princess, she doesn’t want to be royalty. Because of that, it takes her on this journey of figuring out how to make it work for herself that’s going to break that delicate princess mold.”
The film also stars Greg Bryk, Skylar Astin, Elodie Yung, Julie Nolke, Isabella Blake-Thomas, and Ashley Liao.
