Usher turned in an energetic performance Wednesday night on Saving Our Selves: A BET COVID-19 Relief Effort.

The Grammy-winning singer performed “Don’t Waste My Time” with Ella Mai shortly after the broadcast started.

After taking off his bathrobe, Usher slid on his black and pink pajamas, no doubt a designer set, along with pink socks and black slippers.

He then belted out the song and challenged viewers to get off the couch. Jermaine Dupri joined the virtual performance minutes later for a dance break.

“Yo, to everybody at home, we got this new dance called The Sauce, and I want to see everybody do it with us,” Dupri said. A group of dancers virtually performed the steps with Usher as JD rapped instructions on how to do Da Sauce.

The two-hour broadcast opened with a gospel performance led by Kirk Franklin, followed by performances from John Legend, Jhené Aiko, Chloe X Halle, Anthony Hamilton, Alicia Keys and Charlie Wilson.

Hosted by Anthony Anderson, Kelly Rowland, Regina Hall and Terrence J, the special addressed the impact of coronavirus on the Black community.
