Luenell is bringing her brand of comedy to Netflix.
The comedian’s new stand-up special, Luenell: Town Business, will be released on the platform later this month, Netflix announced in a recent press release.
Per the official description, Luenell “goes all in” on the special. She “exposes all of the absurdities of air travel, the importance of keeping the window shade up, and why she has appointed herself the unofficial air marshal of the skies.”
The project is produced by Dave Chappelle via the superstar comic’s “Chappelle’s Home Team,” which features comedians handpicked by Chappelle. The first comic to be featured was Earthquake, whose special debuted in February 2022.

Luenell, 64, currently has a residency on the Las Vegas Strip at Jimmy Kimmel’s Comedy Club.
In 2021, she hosted a memorial at the Laugh Factory in Los Angeles honoring Paul Mooney, following his death from a heart attack. Luenell told the audience Mooney was one of her closest friends.
“Paul Mooney for me was my father. He was my mentor, he was my date, he was my everything,” actress and comedian shared with the audience.
Over the years, Luenell has appeared in a string of TV shows, including Californication, Power Book II: Ghost, The Last O.G., and the films Coming 2 America, I Got the Hook Up 2, and Think Like a Man.
This is her first Netflix special. It was filmed at Yoshi’s in her hometown of Oakland, California, with Stan Lathan directing and co-executive producing alongside Rikki Hughes.
Chappelle’s Home Team – Luenell: Town Business premieres globally Sept. 26 on Netflix.
