Mya experiences heartbreak and a stalled career before things start to look up in the new Lifetime movie My Favorite Christmas Melody.

The Grammy-winning R&B artist leads the cast as singer-songwriter Abby. After a once promising career, Abby now finds herself writing uninspired jingles for commercials when a song she penned gets stolen by a more popular artist.

“Writing songs for commercials seems a bit soul-killing, I’m an artist,” Abby says in a preview clip for the film. But she agrees to do commercial work to pay the bills.
