Monica Lewinsky is bringing a documentary on bullying and public shaming to new streaming service, HBO Max.
Lewinsky will produce the film titled 15 Minutes of Shame, along with MTV’s Catfish co-host Max Joseph and production company Six West.
The doc will explore “contemporary culture’s obsession with public shaming via social experiments, examinations of social behavior, and a focus on individuals who’ve been publicly shamed,” Entertainment Weekly reported Monday.
“Monica Lewinsky is an anti-bullying activist with unparalleled authority, making her the perfect partner for this project,” Sarah Aubrey, head of original content at HBO Max, said in a press release about the movie. “And Max’s strong advocacy for social justice and distinctive storytelling make him particularly well-suited to explore this complex modern phenomenon.”

A release date for 15 Minutes of Shame will be announced later.
Lewinsky has become an anti-bullying activist, speaking out against public shaming since her infamous affair with former President Bill Clinton when she was a White House intern.
HBO Max, a WarnerMedia streaming service, is slated to launch in spring 2020.
As previously reported, the service has also greenlit the limited series Americanah from Lupita Nyong’o, and Danai Gurira.
The 10-episode drama is based on Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s best-selling novel by the same name.
It tells the story of Ifemelu (Nyong’o), a young woman raised in Nigeria, who as a teenager falls in love with her classmate Obinze. Living in a military-ruled country, they each depart for the west, with Ifemelu heading for America, where, despite her academic success, she is forced to grapple for the first time with what it means to be black.
