NBA star Matt Barnes is pivoting to reality TV with the new series The Barnes Bunch.
Set to premiere in 2024 on WE tv, the series follows Barnes, a basketball analyst for ESPN, and his fiancée, model Anansa Sims, as they raise their blended family together.
Barnes has two children — twin sons Carter and Isaiah — from his previous marriage to Basketball Wives star Gloria Govan. Meanwhile, Sims shares daughter Ava and two sons David and Dean, with ex-husband David Patterson. Together, Barnes and Sims are also parents to their youngest son, Ashton.

According to WE tv, the show will offer an intimate look at the duo’s lives as they work toward balancing their careers with parenting six kids who range in age from five to 15 years old.
The hour-long episodes will also delve into the couple’s engagement, offering a front-row seat as they plan their engagement party and their upcoming wedding.
“We’re excited to give people an inside look at our big, beautiful, crazy, blended family. Stay tuned,” Barnes and Sims said in a statement.
Viewers will get a glimpse of the couple’s inner circle of family and friends — which includes Beverly Johnson, Sims’ supermodel mom.
“The WE tv audience expects engaging, entertaining and boldly relatable personalities alongside talked about and explosively fun storylines. Matt, Anansa and their family and friends deliver on all notes,” Brett Dismuke, head of content for WE tv and sister streamer ALLBLK, said.
Currently in production, the series is executive produced by Jamie Foxx and Datari Turner for Foxxhole Productions; Tara Long, Sun de Graaf, and Ben Megargel of Entertainment One (eOne). Angela Molloy and Noella Charles are also executive producers for WE tv. Anthony Oji Singletary serves as showrunner.
The Barnes Bunch is set to premiere on WE tv and ALLBLK in 2024.
