Blade the vampire hunter will soon be slaying evil once again, with Mahershala Ali headlining the reboot.
Marvel President Kevin Feige brought out the two-time Oscar winner Saturday night at Comic-Con in San Diego, and shared the news during the Marvel Cinematic Universe presentation.
Ali is picking up the Blade torch from Wesley Snipes, who played the human with vampire strengths in three films.

The first movie in the trilogy opened in 1998, and earned $131 million at worldwide the box office. The sequels were released in 2002 and 2004.
Bay Area native, Ali, won Oscars for his roles in Moonlight and Green Book.
The 45-year-old actor recently appeared in season 3 of HBO’s True Detective.
