Marlo Hampton won’t return to The Real Housewives of Atlanta for the show’s upcoming 16th season.
The season 14 and 15 peach holder confirmed the news on Saturday, Feb. 24.
“My contract with Real Housewives of Atlanta ended when season 15 wrapped,” Hampton said in a statement to People. “This break from RHOA is a fresh start, allowing me the space to participate in new creative entertainment projects focused on my future, and not reliving my past.”

Hampton added that she is focusing on her family.
“My nephews are transitioning into pivotal stages of their academic adolescence, and I am focused on my representation in their eyes and getting back to showing my multifaceted lifestyle of philanthropy, fashion, and fabulosity!” she said. “I am thankful for this amazing platform of Housewives, which has allowed me to bring awareness to foster care, my non-profit Glam It Up, Inc., and showcase my fashion showroom, Le’Archive.”
She also shared news of her departure in an Instagram Story, by reposting an account that said she will be missed.
Hampton joined the franchise as a friend of former cast member NeNe Leakes in season 4, and appeared on the show for several seasons before being elevated to full-time housewife status in season 14.
Season 15 of RHOA concluded in September 2023. In addition to Hampton, the main cast included Kandi Burruss, Kenya Moore, Shereé Whitfield, Drew Sidora, and Sanya Richards-Ross.
Burruss said earlier this month she won’t be back for the new season.
The fate of the other housewives remains up in the air, although Kenya Moore has hinted in recent interviews that she’ll return for the new season.
On Feb. 13, Bravo announced RHOA alum Porsha Williams Guobadia had signed on to return for season 16.
Days later, Williams filed for divorce from her husband of 15-months, Simon Guobadia.
