Chris “Ludacris” Bridges is teaming up with Larry Wilmore and Malcolm D. Lee for a new BET+ project.
The untitled scripted show will focus on the rapper’s life in Atlanta, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The show is currently in the development stages and Noah Gardenswartz (Marvelous Mrs. Maisel) has signed on to write the script.
The potential series is described as a half-hour dramedy inspired by the “My Chick Bad” rapper’s “experience coming up in the competitive music scene in Atlanta as DJ Chris Lova Lova.”

Ludacris has been steadily building a career in Hollywood. He landed a part in the 2003 film 2 Fast 2 Furious as “Tej Parker,” and has been in all of the movies in the franchise since then. He’s also had roles in the films New Year’s Eve and No Strings Attached, as well as best picture Oscar winner Crash (2004), and the Oscar-winning Hustle & Flow (2005).
In May 2023, he received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The father of four daughters was joined at the star ceremony by his wife and children, along with Queen Latifah, LL Cool J, Larenz Tate, Will Packer, and Fast and Furious stars Vin Diesel, Tyrese, Michelle Rodriguez, and Jordana Brewster.
“I wore an outfit with flowers on it and I’m giving myself flowers,” Ludacris said.
