Television personality Tami Roman and rapper Remy Ma will star in the new Lifetime film, Girl in the Closet.
The drama is based on horrifying real events, and follows a 10-year-old girl named Cameron, who is mistakenly placed in the custody of her aunt Mia (Tami Roman), a convicted killer, after her mother Patricia (Remy Ma) suffers an aneurysm.
As Mia begins caring for Cameron, she cashes in with benefit checks from foster care and abuses the child.
Meanwhile, Patricia spends over a decade searching for her daughter as Cameron finds herself locked in a basement and near death, with only her faith to keep her going.
